Communication Skill Instructor

Job Description:

The Communication Skills Instructor at Pasam Discovery Academy is responsible for providing comprehensive communication skills training to students, helping them develop effective verbal and written communication skills for personal and professional success. The instructor will design and deliver engaging lessons, workshops, and activities that enhance students’ abilities to communicate clearly, confidently, and persuasively. The role requires a strong understanding of various communication techniques and strategies, as well as the ability to adapt teaching methodologies to meet the diverse needs of learners.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging communication skills training programs to students.

Teach students effective verbal and nonverbal communication techniques, including public speaking, active listening, and interpersonal skills.

Provide guidance and coaching to help students improve their written communication skills, such as writing professional emails, reports, and presentations.

Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ communication abilities and track their progress.

Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and fosters confidence in communication.

Collaborate with other instructors and staff to develop and refine curriculum materials and teaching methodologies.

Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in communication skills training to enhance instructional approaches.

Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them overcome communication challenges and improve their overall skills.

Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, or guest speaker sessions to supplement classroom instruction.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and achievements.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a communication skills instructor or a related role.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong knowledge of effective communication techniques, including public speaking, active listening, and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with different writing styles and formats for various communication purposes.

Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for instructional purposes.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to curriculum development.

Prior experience in teaching or training adults is an asset.
